This is a summer 2010 airport internship.
The intern will receive a salary of $12.00 - $15.00 an hour.
Housing is the dormitory of the fire station approx. 400 Sq ft room with 3 wall lockers, desk, and bed etc. There are hookups for a private telephone line and possibly a TV antenna somewhere in there as they were used in the past by others. There is a shower restroom and a small kitchen that is in the operations office for the intern to use. There is no cost associated with housing - other than phone, tv, internet, etc. that they would want.

Airport Operations- To include but not limited to:
Self Inspection, FAA Part 139 Requirements., Navaids and lighting, TSAR 1542 Security Requirements, Communications and Vehicular Operations, ARFF procedures, NOTAMS and discrepancy / condition reporting, and monitoring construction or other airport project’s.
Airport Management Practices- To provide discussion, exposure, and some practical experience with the following:
Lease agreements, Tenant relationships, FAA reporting requirements, Training programs, Airport Publications (development and maintenance of manuals, rules, regs, minimum standards, etc.), Budgets, Consultant relationship and functions, CIP’s, Small Community Air Service Development program, Marketing, Future Planning practices, Revenue generation, Public involvement and meetings, Project and construction grant management, Personnel management theory, Governmental frameworks and MCA Title 67, Rates and Charges, and other airport intrinsic items that may be encountered.
Exposure to some or all of the projects,
Discussion of items,
Practical experience development utilizing the projects as they become available.
